    I'm having lots of problems with the sound driver(s). I don't get the
    above either... I'm trying to compile sound into the kernel (no
    module). I patched up from 2.0.0 to 2.0.4 (didn't try .1, .2., or .3).
    This is what I get at the end of kernel build:
