SubjectRe: Problems when installing LILO from /dev/hdc
Ooops !!

I have solved the problem myself. I have just found out that even though you
can specify different root partitions to boot you will allways boot the kernel
from the partition you install lilo from, at least this is how it works for me.

And the real thing was, that I had compiled sound and SCSI support as modules, so
it wasn't detected at boottime.
