I need to do some delays in kernel code. - each delay is under 3ms (max delay time is not critical) - interrupts are enabled - it could be several seconds before the kernel code returns to user space As I understand it, this could be a problem(?) as it stays in the kernel for so long.
What is the best way to handle this (do I need to worry about it)? Currently I'm just ignoring the fact that the delays can be long; it doesn't cause me any trouble, but I'm on a single user/CPU system.
Any ideas appreciated. Note: I'm by no means a kernel guru, so be gentle.
