Dear all,
Previously running 1.2.13, I recently tried 1.3.72 and 1.3.80. I have 8Mb of main memory and 10Mb of swap (the system is not heavily loaded). The swapping behaviour in these kernels is noticeably different from that of 1.2.13. From `free', the buffer size is almost always >=2Mb and that there are many warnings `can't get a page' from /var/log/messages. Is the new swapping supposed to be more efficient? Do I simply need more swap space?
Please reply by email. Thanks.
Billy
