SubjectRe: Module loading problem
Date

: Of late, I haven't been able to get my module to load into the kernel.
: This has only taken place since 1.3.90 +/- a version or two:
:
: gcc2_compiled. undefined
[...]
: DUMMY.C also complains about the gcc2_compiled thing.
:
: Any thoughts? (Am I doing something stupid?)
:
I have a similar problem -- fixed this by installing
new modutils.

But: Can anyone explain this problem? In module there
was a "gcc2_compiled." symbol defined as text static symbol. So why
the old insmod complains?
