SubjectAdapter 1522 and Pioneer CD changers
Date
From

I just got a pioneer 624 CD changer with an adapter 1522 card
(I have another system with a 1522 card with a nec 7 disk changer).

I have 1.3.84.

An insmod aha152x.o made:
(normally the insmod aha152x.o is clean).
aiting: SCSISEQ (); SCSISIG (DATA OUT); INTSTAT (hi); SSTAT (BUSFREE ); SSTAT (BUSFREE ); SXFRCTL0 (CH1 ); SIGNAL (); SELID (84), SSTAT2 (SEMPTY ); SFCNT (0); SCSICNT (0), OFFCNT(0), SSTAT4 (); DMACNTRL0 (16BIT PIO WRITE ); DMASTAT (WORDRDY DFIFOEMP )
enabled interrupts (ENBUSFREE )
scsi : aborting command due to timeout : pid 6, scsi0, channel 0, id 6, lun 0 Test Unit Ready 00 00 00 00 00
aha152x: abort(), SCpnt=0x00a78018, QUEUE STATUS:
issue_SC:
0x00a78018: target=6; lun=0; cmnd=(Test Unit Ready 00 00 00 00 00
); residual=256; buffers=0; phase |not issued|; next=0x00000000
current_SC:
none
disconnected_SC:

waiting: SCSISEQ (); SCSISIG (DATA OUT); INTSTAT (hi); SSTAT (BUSFREE ); SSTAT (BUSFREE ); SXFRCTL0 (CH1 ); SIGNAL (); SELID (84), SSTAT2 (SEMPTY ); SFCNT (0); SCSICNT (0), OFFCNT(0), SSTAT4 (); DMACNTRL0 (16BIT PIO WRITE ); DMASTAT (WORDRDY DFIFOEMP )
enabled interrupts (ENBUSFREE )

The system hung until I powered off the changer.

When I cycled it again and did mounts, I consistently get a kernel
panic (I can copy the details if anyone is interested...it seem reproducable).

With win95, it seems to work fine...

I also have a Nec 7 disk changer and it works fine...

[ btw -- CD changers seem to be the way to go for external scsi...]
