Ha ha, very funny. However, I know it'd be convenient for _me_ to have my CD-ROM drive kick the tray open when it's unmounted. If you don't want it, you don't have to have it. I still say build-time option. Then, those of us who like it can have it and those who don't, don't have to. Some of us like these little conveniences where we can get them. And don't give me the argument about _drinks_ in front of the machine. Anyone who's dumb enough to leave a drink right in front of their CD-ROM drive (or on or right next to any computer h/w for that matter) deserves to have their machine fried.
