I apologize if I missed the patch on its first issue.
I do agree that it should be put in the v2.0.* kernels ASAP, though I haven't yet tried it.
Of course I'd also like to see in in a v2.1.* kernel :-) (I'd do it myself, but as I wrote before I'm not familiar enough with the fs code).
