SubjectSlip problem with 2.1.8 and 2.1.9 (fwd)

I tried to set the uart to 16550A (it was set to 16450) and the problem
disappeared.

Subject: Slip problem with 2.1.8 and 2.1.9

Since 2.1.8, I'm unable to get a working SLIP or CSLIP session with a
remote machine running slirp. It was working perfectly until then.

I'm using diald-0.12, libc-5.4.9 and modules-2.1.8

After the modem is connected nothing happens and the only message I get in
the logs is that diald closed the idle connection. Anything that could be
working (telnet, ftp, finger) just doesn't work.
