SubjectIPv6 and the "average user"

Please forgive my ignorance in this area, but I have a "quick" question:

Q: What does IPv6 do for the so-called average user?

(definition of "average user": someone who has a home or office ether
connect and/or PPP, with no real security issues beyond maybe sending
cc#'s once in a while via commercial encrypters)

TIA, (nervous shuffling of Nomex)
